What is AOD-9604?
AOD-9604 is a modified fragment of human growth hormone (hGH) corresponding to amino acids 177–191 of the hGH C-terminus. It was developed by Monash University in Australia specifically for fat loss. Unlike full HGH, it has no effect on blood sugar or IGF-1 levels, making it much safer for metabolic use.
Mechanism of Action
AOD-9604 mimics the lipolytic (fat-burning) activity of HGH by stimulating β3-adrenergic receptors in fat tissue, activating hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) to break down stored fat, inhibiting lipogenesis (new fat formation), and stimulating fat oxidation. It does not activate IGF-1 receptors, so it has no anabolic or blood sugar effects.
AOD-9604 Dosing Protocol
300–500 mcg subcutaneous injection daily, ideally in the morning on an empty stomach. Some protocols use 300 mcg twice daily. Cycle: 8–12 weeks. Oral: 1 mg/day (less effective but convenient).
