What is Dihexa?
Dihexa is a small peptide-derived compound developed at Washington State University. It is derived from angiotensin IV and acts on the HGF/c-Met signaling pathway. It is reported to be 10 million times more potent than BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) at promoting synaptogenesis and has shown remarkable results in Alzheimer's and cognitive decline models.
Mechanism of Action
Dihexa binds to hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and potentiates its action on the c-Met receptor. This activates downstream signaling that promotes synaptogenesis (new synapse formation), neuroplasticity, and memory consolidation. It also has effects on the angiotensin system in the brain.
Dihexa Dosing Protocol
10–30 mg oral daily (lipophilic — best absorbed with fat). Some researchers use 50–100 mg/day. Transdermal application is also used (better bioavailability). Cycle: 4–8 weeks. Effects may persist weeks after stopping.
