What is Epithalon?
Epithalon (also spelled Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) derived from Epithalamin, a natural polypeptide from the pineal gland. It is the most extensively researched anti-aging peptide, with over 40 years of research by Professor Vladimir Khavinson and the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It is the only compound proven to extend telomere length in human somatic cells.
Mechanism of Action
Epithalon activates telomerase (the enzyme that extends telomeres), directly extending telomere length in somatic cells. It also regulates melatonin production through the pineal gland, normalizes the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, reduces lipid peroxidation, and has antioxidant and anti-tumor properties.
Epithalon Dosing Protocol
Standard cycle: 10 mg total (typically 5–10 mg/day for 10 days, 1–2 times per year). Some protocols: 5 mg/day for 20 days. Can be administered subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intranasally. Annual or biannual cycles are typical for anti-aging.
