What is P21?
P21 is a synthetic peptide derived from CNTF (ciliary neurotrophic factor) that promotes neurogenesis, synaptogenesis, and cognitive enhancement. It is related to Dihexa in its mechanism of action and is being researched for cognitive enhancement, neurodegeneration, and mental health applications.
Mechanism of Action
P21 acts on CNTF receptors and downstream signaling pathways to promote neurogenesis in the hippocampus, enhance synaptic plasticity, increase BDNF expression, and improve memory consolidation. It also has antidepressant effects through neuroplasticity mechanisms.
P21 Dosing Protocol
100–300 mcg subcutaneous daily. Some researchers use 200 mcg twice daily. Cycle: 4–8 weeks. Intranasal administration is also used at 200–400 mcg/day.
