What is RAD-140?

RAD-140 (Testolone) is a selective androgen receptor modulator developed by Radius Health. It has the highest anabolic-to-androgenic ratio of any SARM (90:1 vs testosterone's 1:1), meaning it produces powerful anabolic effects with minimal androgenic side effects. It also has neuroprotective properties — it activates androgen receptors in the brain to protect neurons.

Mechanism of Action

RAD-140 binds to androgen receptors with very high selectivity and affinity. Its unique structure allows it to activate anabolic pathways in muscle and bone while acting as an antagonist in the prostate. It also activates androgen receptors in the brain, providing neuroprotection via MAPK signaling.

RAD-140 Dosing Protocol

5–15 mg/day oral. Start at 5 mg to assess tolerance. Research doses: 10–15 mg/day. Cycle: 8–12 weeks. PCT is required — RAD-140 causes significant testosterone suppression.

RAD-140 Benefits

Highest anabolic ratio of any SARM (90:1)
Significant lean muscle and strength gains
Neuroprotection (brain androgen receptor activation)
Fat loss
Potential Alzheimer's treatment (research)
Minimal prostate effects

Side Effect Profile

Significant testosterone suppression, potential aggression/mood changes at higher doses, liver enzyme elevation. Requires bloodwork and PCT. Stronger side effect profile than Ostarine or LGD-4033.

Frequently Asked Questions about RAD-140

Is RAD-140 safe?
RAD-140 has a favorable safety profile compared to anabolic steroids, but it causes significant testosterone suppression and requires PCT. Long-term human safety data is limited. Liver enzyme monitoring is important. It should not be used by women due to virilization risk. Always get bloodwork before, during, and after a cycle.
