What is Sermorelin?
Sermorelin is a synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It was the first GHRH analog approved by the FDA (for pediatric GH deficiency) and remains one of the most clinically studied GH secretagogues. It stimulates the pituitary to produce and release GH naturally, making it a safer alternative to exogenous HGH.
Mechanism of Action
Sermorelin binds to GHRH receptors in the anterior pituitary, stimulating GH synthesis and secretion. Because it works through the pituitary's own feedback mechanisms, it cannot cause GH excess — the pituitary self-regulates. This makes it significantly safer than exogenous HGH for long-term use.
Sermorelin Dosing Protocol
200–500 mcg subcutaneous injection before bed (the most important dose, amplifying the natural nocturnal GH pulse). Some protocols use 2–3 injections daily. Cycle: 3–6 months minimum for anti-aging benefits.
