What is SLU-PP-332?

SLU-PP-332 is a small molecule agonist of estrogen-related receptors α and γ (ERRα/γ) developed at Washington University in St. Louis. It is not technically a peptide but is often grouped with research peptides due to its similar use case. In 2024 animal studies, it produced extraordinary results: mice ran 70% farther on a treadmill without any training. It is one of the most exciting exercise-mimetic compounds ever discovered.

Mechanism of Action

SLU-PP-332 activates ERRα and ERRγ — nuclear receptors that regulate mitochondrial biogenesis, oxidative metabolism, and muscle fiber type switching. It converts fast-twitch (glycolytic) muscle fibers to slow-twitch (oxidative) fibers, dramatically increases mitochondrial density in muscle, activates the same pathways as endurance exercise (PGC-1α, AMPK), and improves fat oxidation.

SLU-PP-332 Dosing Protocol

No established human dosing protocol. Animal studies used 50 mg/kg/day. Human equivalent dose (HED): approximately 4–8 mg/kg/day. Community experimentation suggests 10–50 mg/day oral. Research is ongoing — this compound is in early-stage development.

Frequently Asked Questions about SLU-PP-332

Is SLU-PP-332 the same as Cardarine?
No — they work through different mechanisms. Cardarine (GW501516) activates PPARδ. SLU-PP-332 activates ERRα/γ. Both improve endurance and fat oxidation, but SLU-PP-332 appears to be more potent for endurance specifically (70% improvement vs ~50% for Cardarine). They may stack synergistically.
When will SLU-PP-332 be available for humans?
It's currently in pre-clinical research. Human clinical trials may begin in 2025–2026. It's available as a research chemical now. Given the extraordinary animal data, it's one of the most watched compounds in the research community.
