What is Thymalin?
Thymalin is a polypeptide bioregulator derived from the thymus gland, developed by Professor Vladimir Khavinson at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It is one of the most clinically validated peptide bioregulators with over 40 years of human clinical data. It restores thymic function and immune competence, which declines dramatically with age.
Mechanism of Action
Thymalin works by restoring the function of the thymus gland — the master organ of immune regulation. It normalizes T-cell differentiation and maturation, restores the CD4/CD8 ratio, enhances NK cell activity, and regulates cytokine production. It essentially reverses immune aging (immunosenescence).
Thymalin Dosing Protocol
10 mg total per cycle (1 mg/day for 10 days, intramuscular). Repeat 1–2 times per year. Some protocols use 5–10 mg/day for 5 days. Combined with Epithalon in the Khavinson longevity protocol.
