What is Thymosin Beta-4?

Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4) is the naturally occurring peptide from which TB-500 is derived. While TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of Tβ4, the full-length natural peptide has some additional properties, particularly in cardiac regeneration. Tβ4 is produced naturally in high concentrations in platelets and is released at sites of injury.

Mechanism of Action

Thymosin Beta-4 upregulates actin polymerization, promotes cell migration and proliferation, activates anti-apoptotic pathways, stimulates angiogenesis via VEGF, and has unique cardiac regeneration properties through activation of epicardial progenitor cells (EPDCs).

Thymosin Beta-4 Dosing Protocol

2–5 mg subcutaneous or intramuscular 2–3 times per week. Loading phase: 5 mg twice weekly for 4 weeks. Maintenance: 2–2.5 mg weekly. Cycle: 6–12 weeks.
